Hey Antwerp, cacao is the new coffee!
Tasting series at ‘Zwart’
From 13 June until 11 July, join our chocolate tasting sessions at coffee lab Zwart, every Wednesday. We changed the starting time to 7pm (19u), so people with day jobs can join in!
In these sessions, we will taste 6 to 10 artisanal chocolate bars of different terroirs from all around the world. ‘Beginners’ as well as ‘experts’ will find something to enjoy in these sessions! (Let’s face it: no one is a ‘beginner’ in chocolate!)
Dates and themes
Wednesdays, 7-9pm (19u-21u) (come in time please!)
13 June ~ Around the world in 10 chocolate bars. Introduction to different origins
20 June ~ From earthy to fruity to floral to chocolaty… All around the flavor wheel
27 June ~ Contemporary Willy Wonkas. A round-up of the most exciting current chocolate makers
4 July ~ Just Madagascar. A range of different bars from Madagascar
11 July ~ Zwart! A taste of naked cacao
The price for these Wednesday afternoon tasting sessions is 15 euro per session. Reservation is not necessary, but helpful. Drop me a note at firstname.lastname@example.org specifying the session you hope to attend.
Detailed info on each of the tastings will be available about a week in advance, check this space, or follow Pantoufle on Facebook. I will try my best to have some of the tasted chocolate bars available for you to buy, but the availability will be limited, as most of this chocolate is hard to get in Belgium.
I am always into sharing chocolates that didn’t make it into these tastings (white or milk chocolate made with goat or sheep’s milk powder! Pralus bars! that new bar from India!), so don’t be afraid to stop by outside of tastings for a peek into my chocolate box! Obviously, I’d love it if you would bring your favorites or new finds for us to taste.
